Full Description: Taharangi Marie Lodge is a unique luxury guest house nestled amongst the sand dunes of 90 Mile Beach, Northland. This beautiful piece of northern paradise is an excellent location for discovering the beauty of Northland.
Your hosts, Ron Adams and Connie Potae, who have extensive knowledge of the Far North and are well versed in Maori Culture, which is part of their own heritage, will make your stay relaxed and comfortable, indeed their welcome is as warm as the climate.
Taharangi Marie (the Peaceful Horizon), built in 1998, was designed to blend in with the surrounding environment. The splendid isolation of the lodge gives true meaning to "getting away from it all".
There are extensive views of 90 Mile Beach and Reef Point Ahipara from the two ensuite guestrooms and panoramic decking surrounding the lodge. The beach is a short stroll from the lodge and other activities are close by. Tours to Cape Reinga and other Northland attractions can be arranged for you by your hosts.
Enjoy the culinary skills of your hosts who offer a wide variety of fresh seafood or a delightful four course dinner. Or you may choose to dine out at one the highly recommended local restaurants - your hosts are happy to provide transport.
